Cylinder Line Provide Solutions to Virtually Any Linear Actuation

A full line of linear actuation cylinders offered by Mead Fluid Dynamics, Inc., incorporating NFPA dimensional interchangeability and special designs, provide solutions to virtually any linear actuation problem.

In our lubrication-free Centaur cylinders, Teflon seals provide low breakaway force. These cylinders, built to match tie-rod performance, serve a range of unique applications, including animatronics and cryogenics. For a variety of machinery applications where space and weight restrictions are critical, the Space SaverTM line provides full power in half the space typically required for standard cylinders.

Low profile miniature air cylinders, with bore sizes starting at ¼ inch, have been developed to meet the need for single- and double-acting actuators in applications where space is extremely limited.

NFPA type cylinders include special extruded body designs developed for clean environments. These DM2 cylinders feature cylinder heads machined from solid aluminum bar stock. In addition, special HD1 cylinders for harsh or abusive service conditions address severe service situations, and small bore tie rod designs meet a wide range of specific application requirements.
